NOW, an inspired friend has offered an additional $1500 Matching Fund. Let's meet it now!

Shechen School, a primary and secondary school for young monks at Shechen Monastery, provides its students with the unique opportunity to receive both a quality modern secular education and spiritual training in Buddhist studies.

Under the innovative leadership of principal Jhabindra Subedi the school has become one of the best of its kind in Nepal.

Currently, 240 students are enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Many come from impoverished families living in remote areas of the Himalayas with little or no access to education.

The School is ENTIRELY Supported by Donors like Yourself!

The monastery and our sponsorship programs provide the funds needed for housing, food, and clothing for our students.

However, all school supplies and operating expenses are funded by individual donors and family foundations.

Make an Impact! Now Your Donation will be Matched!

Your gifts will equip the school with all that is needed to provide a quality education and learning experience:

Furniture · Books · Stationery · Science Lab · Equipment · Computers · Salaries for Teachers and Full-Time School Nurse.

Celebrate the Academic Progress Our Students Have Accomplished! Donate to the $4000 Matching Challenge!

Support the Shechen School.

"We teach a Buddhist way of life and produce a kind and compassionate human being who can contribute to creating peace in the world." ~Principal Jhabindra Subedi
